A 9-year-old boy named Ismail successfully helped his father repair their broken washing machine, putting his focus and practical problem-solving skills to work.
According to his father, Ismail is autistic, has limited speech and dyslexia, and sometimes struggles with reading and arranging letters in his schoolwork. When their washing machine stopped working properly, his father decided to involve Ismail in repairing it together.
The video shows Ismail getting hands-on with the repair, removing screws, fitting a spring, connecting wires, applying tape and putting the components back into place.
When they finally pressed the start button, their efforts paid off, the washing machine was working properly again. š§āØ
His father shared the experience to highlight that children can have strengths that may not always be reflected on an examination paper, and that giving them opportunities to explore practical interests can reveal skills in unexpected areas.
