A man took it upon himself to clear a clogged roadside drain after water appeared to have overflowed around the area.

The video shows him reaching into the drain and removing the blockage by hand until the water begins flowing properly again.

Responding to those who asked whether he felt uncomfortable doing the dirty work, he explained that if everyone avoided such tasks, someone would still have to step forward and get the job done.

He also expressed his respect for cleaning and maintenance workers, acknowledging the dirt, unpleasant conditions and hot weather they regularly face while keeping public spaces clean and functioning.

While clearing a drain may seem like a small act, his initiative also highlighted the often-overlooked work carried out every day by those who maintain our shared surroundings. 👏
