The final stretch of the Kuala Lumpur Standard Chartered Marathon (KLSCM) captured more than runners completing a race, as participants were seen supporting one another through the last steps towards the finish line.
The video shows runners of different backgrounds and abilities pushing through their own challenges, with some stepping in to guide, encourage and accompany fellow participants as they approached the finish.
Among them were persons with disabilities (OKU) taking part in the marathon, alongside runners visibly battling exhaustion and emotion. For some, finally reaching the finish line brought tears after the effort it took to get there.
As the post put it, “Everyone has a reason to run. No reason is too small.”
Each runner may have had their own reason for starting, but the final stretch showed that they did not always have to complete the hardest steps alone. 🙌❤️
