After spending much of his time undergoing treatment for leukaemia, a young student named Sutthaweit has returned to school and gone on to be recognised as Olahragawan Sekolah.

According to MAKNA (Majlis Kanser Nasional), Sutthaweit previously spent long periods in hospital receiving treatment, keeping him away from school and many of the activities enjoyed by other children his age.

With support that included the MAKNA Scholarship Programme, he was able to continue his education and gradually return to an active school life.

Since returning, Sutthaweit has made progress in both his studies and sports, eventually earning the Olahragawan Sekolah recognition for his sporting achievements. 🏆👏

From undergoing treatment to returning to the classroom and participating in sports again, Sutthaweit’s journey shows the opportunities young cancer survivors can continue to pursue with the right support.
