A police officer took the time to check on a household after noticing that its front gate had been left open at around 1.15am.

According to the homeowner, the officer initially suspected that something might be wrong and turned back to inspect the property rather than simply continuing on his way.

The video shows the officer entering the compound with a torch and looking around to make sure everything was in order. After finding nothing suspicious, he alerted the people inside about the open gate and checked that they were safe.

The homeowner later shared the footage to thank the officer for being observant and taking the extra time to make sure the household was alright. 👏❤️
