Malaysian squash star Ng Eain Yow successfully defended his men’s singles Asian Games title after defeating India’s Abhay Singh 11-9, 11-5, 11-5 at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games in Japan.
Competing at the Nagoya Kinjofuto Arena on 27 September, the 28-year-old’s straight-games victory delivered Malaysia’s fifth gold medal of the Games.
The victory also secured Eain Yow an early berth at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, making him the first Malaysian athlete to qualify for LA28. Squash will make its Olympic debut at the Games

Eain Yow previously claimed the men’s singles title at Hangzhou 2022, making his latest achievement a successful defence of his Asian Games crown and another major milestone in his squash career. 🏆👏
