Teachers and staff at a school acted quickly after a fire broke out in one of its blocks, working together to evacuate students and stop the flames from spreading further.

According to the teacher who shared the incident, he heard students shouting at around 4.13pm and immediately responded. He checked classrooms in Block D to make sure no students remained inside before joining efforts to tackle the fire.

Around 15 to 20 fire extinguishers from different floors and blocks were reportedly used. Within approximately 10 to 12 minutes, the school community managed to bring the flames under control, with the fire reported to be fully extinguished at around 4.28pm.

It was a coordinated effort involving the entire school community. Teachers supervised students who had evacuated to the field and contacted the Fire and Rescue Department, while office and canteen staff, the security guard, gardener and others stepped in to assist.

Parents later thanked the teachers and staff for their quick thinking, teamwork and knowledge of fire safety, which helped keep the students safe and prevented the situation from becoming more serious. ❤️🧯
